Fulltime Carpenter

Be the carpentry expert on De Palm Island! Support smooth operations, from water sports to entertainment, while assisting with exciting new projects in this tropical paradise

Responsibilities

• Help the Maintenance Manager plan and carry out all carpentry work on the island.
• Assist in creating and managing a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of buildings and equipment within budget.
• Build strong supplier relationships to ensure top-quality service and pricing.
• Maintain good communication with DPI business partners and tenants.
• Proactively keep De Palm Island safe and clean.
• Assist with daily maintenance of island infrastructure.
• Help with annual water park maintenance.
• Support all maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with the team on island waste removal.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and schedule urgent repairs. Manage waste and recycling effectively.
• Follow Employee Handbook rules.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum MTS/EPI or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as carpenter Mainly in construction(experience in fine carpentry a plus)

• Basic knowledge of Mechanical equipment a plus
• Excellent communication and people skills, problem solving skills, team player, flexible, innovative and creative, strong organizational skills.

• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment a plus
• English, Spanish, Papiamento, Dutch is a plus
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
