Responsibilities

• Handle all technical repair orders on De Palm Island

• Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, welding, minor electrical work, and safe housekeeping practices

• Set priorities for maintenance work in coordination with the Operations/Maintenance Manager

• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner

• Be available occasionally during evening functions when required

• Clean air conditioning, refrigeration, and ice maker filters on a monthly basis

• Ensure proper functioning of all kitchen and restaurant equipment

• Maintain and monitor all lighting systems across the island

• Assist with on-site repairs of the ferry and barge when needed

• Check water levels, oil levels, greasing, and other lubricants daily for vessel motors

• Install, inspect, and repair LPG gas connections

• Support the Operations/Maintenance Manager with ongoing maintenance projects

Key Qualifications

• Minimum E.P.I. technical level or equivalent

• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance, carpentry, welding, electrical work, construction, vessel maintenance, or related fields

• Languages: English, Spanish, and Papiamento required (Dutch is a plus)

• Required Skills: Innovative, creative, flexible, able to work independently, positive attitude, team player.
