Responsibilities
This position performs repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems of submersibles, surface vessels, and support equipment and facility in accordance with ASI (Atlantis Submarines International) requirements and established or approved work procedures and local regulatory agencies. Prepares and completes all required paperwork for repairs and/or maintenance.
Key qualifications
- Minimum MTS/ E.P.I. technical or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical, hydraulic, and diesel maintenance and repair.
- Soldering skills.
- Work can be physically rigorous, sometimes requiring working in cramped, enclosed spaces. Potentially hazardous working environment requires considerable alertness, attention and following established safety standards and procedures.
- Must have familiarity with the use of manual and power tools, test and calibration equipment.
- Experienced with the setup and use of preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong trouble shooting skills.
- Must be able to read mechanical schematics and structural drawings.
- Must be familiar with basic wiring and circuitry techniques.
- Swimming diplomas is a must.
- Speak and write English is a must.
- Willing to learn to dive.
- Good team player.
- Drivers license.
- Able to work night shift.
- Diesel Mechanic is a plus.
